MY STORY
My introduction to photography was during my school years where I learned to develop black and white film in the school dark room. Trips to the European Alps, Scandinavia and Canada were all documented with a 35mm camera. As a soldier, I returned to these skills spending time on operations as a reconnaissance photographer. On completion of a full career in the military, I feel very fortunate being able to work creatively with my camera.
Originally from the Lake District, my family home is in Gibraltar. We frequently travel back to the U.K, where I am also available for wedding bookings. My wife, Lauren (also a professional photographer) and I are parents to an energetic 3 year old and a hairy little dog called Loki. At home we are food and music lovers and we are spoiled with our close proximity to beaches and family adventures in Southern Spain.
The opportunity to tell the story of a couple’s wedding through images is a real privilege and I always feel honoured to be given the opportunity. Each wedding I photograph is a new adventure and I endeavour to capture timeless, authentic imagery as the day unfolds around me. I shoot in a creative, documentary and editorial style, allowing me to catch the ‘big’ and in-between, fleeting moments, creating photographs filled with genuine emotions and unforgettable memories which will stand the test of time.
